How to Adopt

Step one

Fill out our online adoption application.

Step two

Talk to a TCAR adoption coordinator. We’ll chat more about your home and lifestyle so we can suggest cats we think will be a great fit or tell you more about the specific cat you're interested in.

Step three

Meet and greet. Video meet-and-greets are the best way to get an honest look at what life with your future cat will be like—you’ll talk with the cat’s foster parents and see how the cat behaves in a relaxed, familiar environment. We can also coordinate in-person meet-and-greets with the foster.

Step four

Adoption paperwork and processing. When you’re ready to move forward, you'll use our online portal to sign our adoption agreement and any other necessary paperwork and pay the adoption fee ($200 per kitten, $350 for a pair; $175 per adult cat; $300 for a pair).
