How to Foster

Step one

Fill out our online foster application.

Step two

Talk to a TCAR foster coordinator. We’ll answer any questions you have, walk through next steps, and chat more about your home, lifestyle, and availability so we can place the right foster cat in your home. You can opt to be a full-time foster, special needs foster, kitten foster, short-term foster, or emergency / community cat foster (more on this on the Foster Program page.

Step three

Sign our Foster Agreement and start fostering. Once you've signed our agreement, when you’re ready for a foster, we'll coordinate pickup/dropoff with you.

Step four

Get to know your foster cat, stay in touch, and help us get your foster cat adopted! You'll send us updates and photos for your foster cat's adoption profile.
